We are excited to announce that with the latest platform release (25/11) we have added a powerful new file management tool that allows you to centralise, store and streamline your content files (text, images, PDFs or video) across all users of Fabulate in your organisation.

The Fabulate Vault is a digital asset management tool (DAM) that easily allows the distribution of content, with assets that were both created on and off the platform. Managing content consistency across organisations can be a difficult task, especially in a post remote working world, but when aided with a technology solution such as a digital asset management tool businesses can increase their productivity, eliminate user error and significantly reduce their costs.

Even prior to the remote working revolution, businesses all around the world were starting to see the value of installing a digital asset management tool in their marketing operations, however cost and complexity were often identified as barriers to enterprise wide adoption.

With the development of the Fabulate Vault, we wanted to tackle these two issues head on – how we could offer this service at a low cost to brands and how could we make it simple for all users to utilise in their day to day marketing activities.

Distribute pre made content

Using the Fabulate Distribution Network you can take existing content that is made on the Fabulate platform, or bring your own content that is created by other sources and distribute or publish to a partner of your choice (pending their acceptance).

This is a new way to sweat the asset of existing content and to further promote content that is performing well and delivering results. 

To do this simply head to the Fabulate Vault, select the files you want to distribute and click ‘post a brief’. From here your selections will filter your request through to your selected partner and once accepted will open the distribution workroom process.

This is the easiest way to take your content and publish it to new audiences with guaranteed readership. 

If you are looking to establish a single source of truth for all of the content that your organisation creates, then organising them in the Fabulate Vault is a powerful and cost effective way for your brand to achieve consistency across all users and projects.

Over the coming months, we will continue to expand the Fabulate Vault to include new features and functions that will make it even easier to create, distribute and manage your content.

How much does the Fabulate Vault cost?

The great news is that the Fabulate Vault is included as part of your regular user account (at no extra charge). This means everyone that has a registered account to Fabulate within your organisation will be able to access, upload, tag and share assets that are associated with your account.

This removes the risk of an improper hand over of someone on annual leave, and creates a system where your up to date brand guidelines are used each time. Centralising your brand assets within the Vault means that they can be easily distributed to all stakeholders consistently and efficiently each time the assets are required for use.

Note: we are looking for ways to bring the Fabulate Vault to Creators in the near future.

Organise and find your files with ease

The Vault is easily accessible from anywhere within the platform (via the left hand nav) and can act as the source of truth for all of your files. Move away from using shared drives on your organisation’s computer network and remove the need for VPNs, all files that are uploaded to the Fabulate Vault are stored securely within the cloud and accessible by anyone within your organisation that has a Fabulate account.

The on platform search allows you to find the relevant files quickly and easily package them for distribution.

What files can be uploaded?

Any file from text, to images, to PDFs, or video can be uploaded and stored on the Fabulate Vault. Once uploaded the platform will auto fill meta details such as file type, file size and file dimensions.

Supported file types at launch include .doc, .xls, .ppt, .pdf, .jpeg, .svg, .png, .gif (non animated), mp4 and .avi

As we continue to build out the capability of the Fabulate Vault we will include the option to upload additional file types and formats.

Note: images that are downloaded via the Getty Images integration will not be automatically uploaded to the workroom. Your license of these files only allows the image to appear in that article. To avoid licensing issues these will remain in the workroom alongside your content.

Tag your files with extra detail

The Fabulate Vault allows you to accurately tag your files with additional meta information to make it even easier for users to find and use the right file.

For images and video we have included AI (powered by Amazon Rekognition) that automatically scans and tags your file based on what is featured within it.

With this feature the platform can identify objects, people (including celebrities), detect non-brand safe content, while also providing accurate facial analysis. The facial analysis can detect gender, age range as well as any potential emotions featured by the subject.

This feature is currently in Beta and we will continue to make changes to improve the accuracy of tagging over time.
